Well congrats on ur new little member of ur family! I have an 8 week old too, so I'm having lots of training issues too. I'm just wondering if ur entire floor in the playpen was covered in the puppy pads? Just because I know that they don't like to go to the bathroom where they sleep. So idk how long he's in there but if he sleeps in there he prolly will wait until u let him out. Just keep being consistent w/him.. There are lots of training videos online to help u out as well. And 8 weeks is still very young. My little girl doesn't understand anything I'm saying to her about her going potty. So just keep telling him & when he does good..lots of praises and treats, good luck
