Default Does this warrant a trip to the vet?!

Uni stepped on something. We were in the front yard. She starting making tiny little hurting sounds and lifted her front paw. I turned her around and saw a tiny little bulb thing and pulled it out and there was a little spike at the end. I touched the spike with my fingers but it didnt seem sharp. Asked MIL if it was a bee's butt she said no.

She won't stop licking it. Won't really let me touch it too much. It's not getting swollen but won't stop licking. She's not really NOT walking on it. Lifting her paw, when she isn't walking but when walking looks normal.

Bf said no vet. What do you guys think?! I can't see anything else (she has thin hair remember) not swollen but it's OBVIOUSLY bothering her.

Is she playing me for a fool?

There's no bleeding that I can tell.
