I read a story of a pet owner who fed her dog just chicken and rice and how sick that dog became because of a nutritional defencency. In fact his bones became brittle. .. Just like us if we don't eat a variety of foods. My vet is not "pro" homecooking but he does say if you do be sure you get the information from a vet nutritionist.
