I think you need to find a plan that actually works for you and Daisy. I guess I would want to know the cause of the colitis. I know you said they did all these tests and even exploratory surgery but has anyone dealt with the allergy component? Food intolerances and allergies can cause these symptoms -- I lived with similar frustration for years. You are doing all novel proteins, but what about asking your vet to put her on RC Hypoallergenic diet? Or another hydrolyzed protein diet. Or refer you to a veterinary dermatologist who can deal with the allergies. Regarding the probiotics, I'm not a fan. I use a veterinary nutritionist who is board certified and very reputable to help me with home cooking for my dogs and she has indicated that probiotics are not necessary in 99.9 percent of dogs or cats and that they do not benefit from them. That's pretty much means they are a waste.
