Default Coins

It is a strange taste for your dogs to go for change. It seems you are taking all precautions to keep coins from them. I know you were concerned about choking, and that certainly is possible. However a small dog belonging to a neighbor had a similar issue, and he ate a penny. He became very very sick from metal poisoning and nearly died from it. It seems the acid in his stomach leached out the metal and it got into his system. So please be very careful as choking is not the only problem with coin ingestion. I know before I heard of this I did not think coins would poison a dog, but just pass through him. I don't know if what happened to the neighbor's dog would apply to all dogs, perhaps you could check with your vet?
