Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and have a few questions! Although this little man will not be my first puppy, I've been out of the puppy stage for awhile. Our female Maltipoo Chloe was 13, and we recently had to say good bye. Hardest thing I've ever experienced, she was our first dog.
I am adopting a 7 month old male Yorkie on Saturday. He 6lbs, is already neutered, kennel trained and up to date with his shots. Does anyone have any tips for me when I bring him home? I'm a bit nervous with a male wondering if he will still be able to smell Chloe on certain things, and I don't want him "marking" his new territory.
His foster mom is currently feeding him Blue Buffalo Puppy, good choice?
We have a very busy house, the coming and goings of adult kids 23/20 and a husband who works shift work. I also have two 4 yr old nephews that visit often.
I am hoping he adjusts well, and can enjoy his new home.
Any and ALL tips would be appreciated...
PS - We are not too keen on his name (Rex) is it too late to change?
