I've heard that people use coconut oil on the coat as well - in addition to feeding it. However, coconut oil is a saturated fat. It won't mix with water. So I'm not really sure how well it would work as a coat conditioner? I don't understand how the coat & skin would absorb the coconut oil. I'm no expert, so I'm just assuming all of this based on what I know about essential oils vs. saturated fat...But people do say that coconut oil works too. I've never tried it myself. I've only tried Jojoba oil.
