I just want to say I am glad you found that site, I would have recommended something like that for her.
Also I am so sorry your gal has been ddx'd with this.
If she is not on glucosamine/chondrotin consider it. It won't cure this problem, but it could help.
Try lots of water work for her exercise and or hydro bathing.
