This! It drives me ape***t mad! Raising a new puppy is every bit like having a new baby. Having a slightly older puppy is like having a toddler. I often feel like I have two of them. The only difference is, I know the 2-legged toddler will eventually grow up and not need me for every little thing. That puppy will need me for every day that he takes a breath; feeding, bathing, playing, nursing. And that's just fine with me. Every laugh at his antics, puppy kiss and flopping down on the couch next to me with a contented sigh makes it all worth it!
