We had a 6 hour drive with Max when he was 12/13 weeks old. He didn't want to potty until we got to the house and gave him a pad. If your pups have not been introduced to outdoor potty, make sure the family has a pad to offer the pup.
Also, Max scared me because he refused to drink any water for hours. I finally discovered that he wouldn't drink out of the plastic travel bowls because he was accustomed to stainless steel. Whatever the pups are used to, make sure the new family has the same.
