 teeth problems and more
Hi everyone, I am very new to this forum, so I do apologize if this topic has been brought up possibly many times in the past. I am very concerned with what the vet told me last time we had Ice in for checkup.
My nephew was playing with the dog one day, and noticed that Ice's (our yorkie) 3 bottom front teeth between the canines are moving. Sort of like baby teeth before they about to fall off. Well I took Ice to the Vet right away, and he will be needing some dental work and some teeth pooled, I feel horrible for letting it get to that point.
We had been giving him dental sticks for the longest time and his rear right teeth are great. But he chews only with that one spot, and doesnt go on the the other side. We started brushing daily for the past month, and he hates it if I am using the brush. But the build up started to reduce progressively, and I can see that his gums are getting less sensitive.
What concerns me is that when Ice's urine was taken at the checkup, came back with trace of protein. I was told to bring him in since they did not have enough urine I guess to get a dialed in number, and so I did. Test results came back as 4.2
I dont see anything abnormal in his eating habits, mood, ect... he is acting same as he always did.
I dont want him to go under any type of anesthesia if these numbers indicate poor liver function... But I need to get his periodontal issues sorted out.
if anybody has contact of dental specialists in Eastern Ontario I would be super thankful. |
