First you have to get a measuring tape that's flexible, the kind you use for sewing.
Measure around his neck (this is the neck measurement)
Girth is the measurement around his middle right behind his front legs.
Length is from the neck to tail (my guy has a long neck so I go from the middle of the neck to the base of the tail).
If it has a hood measure the length from the back of the head. I didn't and I got an outfit with a hood that wouldn't go over his little head. it's still cute as a button on just not functional.
