Hi and welcome to YT!! Congrats on your upcoming addition. A Yorkie love will definitely ease your lonliness. They are a bit active, though, so be ready for that ok? They aren't your typical "lap dog" and if they hear you call them that, they will curse at you hehe
As for meeting up with others in your area that have small dogs, perhaps ask your vet if he/she could recommend a playdate or introduce you to fellow Yorkie and small dog owners that use the same vet.
