My head says it will be ok... but my heart says you're in for a bit of a hard time. I, too, had the perfect Yorkie... a rescue, but purebred (I had him DNA tested). He went to work with me every day. Clients loved him. He traveled well. He was, well... PERFECT! Soooo...I decided he was lonely, and got 15 month old, 4.5# Max from a show home in West Virginia. Well! The world turned upside down! Little Max is an alpha dog... has to eat first, go out the door first, take the toy he wants even if Marley is playing with it... it was awful. I wanted to give Maxie up to a good home. He was sucking up every bit of attention and energy I had to offer.

But this has a happy ending. It has taken time -- and a lot of work, but when I see them curled up together on the couch, or licking each others' faces, or crying or whimpering when one is left behind, I know I did the right thing. Be patient. Be fair, but it will become apparent which of your babies is the alpha dog; and your life and their lives will be easier if you acknowledge that hierarchy when feeding, petting, walking, etc.... Just keep repeating... It takes time... It takes time...
