-I live in an apartment (btw I will be getting netting for the balcony and he will always be on a leash) and instead of taking him out where other dogs pee I was wondering If I could put a pee pad in a pee pad holder on my balcony and walk him out there to pee and also have a pee pad inside. Would that confuse him?
2. If I cut off water after 7pm for example do I still need to take him out to pee in the middle of the night if he goes to bed lets say 2 or 3 hours after that.
3. If I wake him up at 6am at about what time should I put him down to sleep? How many hours does a 9-12 week puppy sleep?
4. What kid of brush should I buy him? Can you recommend any in particular or add an image so I get an idea.
Honestly I had more questions but my mind went blank right now so I will add them later but is there any advice you guys have for me? I have never owned a dog before.

That's a cute name!! Middle names aren't silly
If I could've thought of a cute one Lily would have one too.
1. Pee pads on the balcony don't confuse them. Lily and Taka both go on the balcony, I bought a big grass patch and they both use it just fine and when I take them outside they don't have a problem going either. I just say go potty and they both go.
2. Taka is almost done being crate trained at the moment (he was 4 months when we got him, hes now 6 months). When we first got him we would put him in the cage around 10pm (after taking him out) and he would start whinning to go out around 5:30-6am. So he pretty much held it all night
if you put him in a little area he wont pee because he doesn't like rolling it.
3. I wake up at 6am every morning and Taka goes to sleep at 10pm. He doesn't like it at first but he calms down and goes to sleep right away and doesnt wake up until the morning
But, DEFINITELY DO NOT let him take a nap before you are ready for bed lol. Taka is really really hyper after a nap and wants to play and growl at all of his toys and runs through the house on hyper speed. you don't want that right before you wanna sleep.
4. I just use a simple dog brush with the brush on one side and the bristles on the other. And I use a comb after they are brushed out to get the little mats out.
