We brought Huey home at 7.5 weeks (like above, too young, but we didnt know better at the time) and if I I remember correctly, he slept in the bed from day 1. We put him between two pillows between us so he wouldn't get squashed, and although we still have issues with in the house pottying, he has never, ever pottied in the bed or in his crate. (He uses his crate to vomit in, though...better than the floor, I guess). As for naming, we met him the day after he was born and watched him and his littermates grow, and after we picked him out of the litter, he finally named himself a couple of weeks before we brought him home. (He got to be the chubby one in the litter and my dh said "what a baby Huey", and he was named.) Congrats on the new baby. Looking forward to pics. Hope the ride home from the airport is uneventful. You said she was carsick on the trip (in the other thread). I have found that if Huey can see out of the window from an elevated car seat, sickness is greatly reduced. I know, not helpful now, but maybe after she gets bigger. Good luck & congrats!
