Poor Oliver!!! I am glad to hear his vision is getting better. Our fingers and paws are crossed for him too, that he will start feeling more comfortable soon!
We had our friend from opthalmology and her husband over to our place on Saturday evening, and conversation moved to Layla and she made me feel a lot better again! She can explain things better to me than DH can
She said the procedure is basically that they'll just cut a flap of the surface back and then shave off the tumor. Easy as that. She doesn't think there will be any other issues.
I know Layla is going to hate the cone. She and one of our other dogs, Kash, are still learning to live together in peace
They don't FIGHT, but Layla will bark and nip at him when he's rude - he walks close enough to rub past her or push her to the side, or he'll grab a toy from right in front of her, or whatever. Sometimes he will step right on her back legs and her butt when she's laying down, and I don't know if he realizes she can't feel it because it kind of seems like he's just trying to be a jerk lol... but don't worry, he's extremely light so he's not hurting anything! But anyways, Layla is always a little on edge when he's in the same room, unless they are sleeping. I know she's going to hate not being able to look around easily and know exactly where everyone is all the time. She's never had to wear a cone before!
