My poor smilie girl is going to lose 4 or 5 teeth today...just received a call from my vet. I originally had her scheduled for a dental in Jan. or Feb. (forget the exact date) but because of other sick pups and personal health issues I put it off until today....today is exactly one year since her last one. I feel just awful about this because I do know she has awful periodontal disease.
It was just that I was so overwhelmed running around with stuff that I felt it could wait.
I just told my vet there will be no ifs ands or butts...Pippi will now be getting a dental every 6 months. We have been watching her...and I feel sick that I just did not go ahead and get it done when scheduled but between all of the sick pups and my own stuff, I cancelled her appt.
