Thank you all so very much. My vet got her in and made an appointment for a spay. As far as the brother... I have gone round and round with him over the neutering, he even lets one of his dogs wander outside at will, a little pomeranian no less. I get the impression that he doesn't really care about his dog breeding with other dogs. Which breaks my heart, as I am sure everyone here can relate. @Midnight unicorn I have never even heard of Pyometra, how heartbreaking. This website has taught me so much just in the past few days. My Lyra is only 2 weeks old today, but you can bet that I will be well versed and prepared for her by the time she comes home. |
