It started out about 4 weeks ago looking like simple diarrhea, so they all had two five day courses and a ten day course of Metronidazole, which worked fine while they were taking it. As soon as I stopped it, the diarrhea came back. So off to the vet's we went, diagnosis is colitis, or diarrhea of the large bowel. Changed the antibiotic to a Sulfa drug, probiotics, and a med to firm up the loose stools. Can't figure out what started it, either bad food, picked up something in the yard (wet conditions), or maybe a contaminated enzymatic toothpaste, IDK. I sure hope the new meds do the trick. Between butt baths and bleaching the floors I'm not getting much else done around here, lol.

Poor doggies. Hope they feel better soon and that you can get a break from butt bathing and floor bleaching!
