So, I guess the question for yourself to answer now is - Are you ready to be a dog owner and parent now? I say parent for a reason - it truly is a long term commitment. You will lose sleep, your plans will revolve around where your "kid" will stay and what he will do, you'll have to go to the doctor when he's sick, and on and on. A doggie parent never has an off day.
