My Luci who I took in as re-home this past May, she was not even 3 pounds was in heat when I got her, waited for it to be over and had her spayed, her uterus was large as well, Vet said if she had gone into another heat she would have gotten pyrometra. Oh and Luci was 4 1/2 yrs old.
