I am sorry if I sounded harsh, training should be fun for everyone. The more fun and exciting you make your training sessions for the dog, the quicker you will get results you want and the happier your dog will be to comply.
I had an Irish Setter that was incredibly intelligent. She was trained to obey hand signals and/or voice commands. If she didn't want to obey the hand signals, she would simply duck her head down and not look at me, so one of my most important voice commands was, "Mandy, look at me!". Although she didn't like it, she would obey that command and then she was compelled to obey the hand signals. LOL they can be so funny.
I haven't gotten that far with the Yorkies yet, but we are working on it.
