Latte got neutered yesterday. However, due to him having descended testicles, he had an abdominal incision.
He is trained to on pee pads. However, since he came home from the surgery, he has been peeing/pooping all over the place. I turn my head for a few seconds, and he pees/poops. It seems like he completely forgot about pee pads.
Anyone had similar experience before?
Is he acting like this because he's uncomfortable? Maybe he wants that elizabethan collar off of him, and he's upset that I'm not taking it off for him?
Do they "remember" the pee pads after they fully recover? Or do I have to redo pad training.
He's such a great dog, and he rarely whined. (The only other time was after getting shots at the vet.) Now he's whining and crying if I'm not right next to him. And he's so sad and confused why I wouldn't let him jump on my lap to give me puppy kisses. (He attempted to do so when I brought him home and ended up yelping and crying because it hurt his wound.) I'm told that it's a small procedure, but this is totally breaking my heart.
