Good luck at the vets he most likely doesnt have a uti its just good to rule it out. Keep him tethered to you and when you take him out ring that bell everytime. They can learn with repetition. I had a cat yrs ago that would ring a bell we had in our bedroom to let us know it was time for us to get up and feed her. It was comical at times but she did it every day
