I've given him a bath every Monday night without fail, except this week and last week. He was groomed on Friday the 22nd, so I didn't give him his regular Monday night bath. I had my surgery on Wednesday the 27th, and by Friday I was still in a lot of pain. I planned on giving him a bath this Monday, but I wanted to get all the matts and tangles out beforehand. That's when I found out how bad his little chest is. I stopped because we were both stressing after an hour of trying to get them out without hurting him.

I have safety scissors, so it looks like he'll get an impromptu trim just so I can bathe him until I can make an appointment with the new groomer. I have a card for a groomer at the boutique store I go to. If she doesn't work out, then I'll seriously consider teaching myself to do it. I groomed my Shi Tzu for years. The only difference was she loved getting groomed and would actually fall asleep during the process!
