Have you had your female evaluated by a canine reproductive specialist to determine her overall suitability for breeding? It is not really the weight of the female that is key, it is the "frame" and pelvic capacity. I would find a vet who specializes in reproductive veterinary medicine and have a complete pre-mating evaluation done.
