Thank you so much for your post! I was thinking about using 1800-Petmeds to get my babies Comfortis since it is cheaper then the vets office on the website. I always wondered if it was safe. But after reading this #1 WOW how can a company make their money making their customers sick? and #2 I will be going to my vet instead! Thank again!!

I have bought prescription pet meds online before. I took the meds into my vet at a vet visit because I wanted to make sure all the dosages were appropriate for Tinkie's size and age. My vet "GASPED" she said that I should NEVER buy prescription pet medication online and this is why:
They take "out of date" medication and repackage it so the date looks fresh. She told me that this is very dangerous because sometimes the old medicine changes chemically to toxic when it is old. She also said that it is illegal to purchase prescription medication online without a prescription.
I have since returned my order to the place I bought it online. I didn't use any of it. I thought maybe this would help anyone thinking about buying thier pet prescription medications online.
