Just do a little at a time and treat. You will need to go in short sessions - when the wiggle worm can't do it anymore, take a break and come back to it later. Talk really sweet and calm as you brush/comb and treat often. Remie will start associating the grooming with being loved on and treats

Terri pretty much nailed it. It takes truckloads of patience. If your little knows you're stressed, he's going to be also.

And hitch a wagon full of treats to that truckload of patience, lol.
