I kept meaning to come by and let you all know how the travel went with our babies. We did end up taking them with us on a flight. We used Alaska Airlines and I must say they did a pretty good job. Yes, I was worried out of my mind, Scarlett and Jade had to be in separate kennels and under the passenger area. It was kept warm but throughout the flight I could hear a big dog barking, so I am sure the flight wasn't as pleasant for them. AA has a system where they give you one of the tags from the specific kennel, showing that your dogs are definitely present with you on the plane. I was mostly afraid of them getting lost or stolen. Dh said if they didn't produce a ticket that in no way he would let the plane leave. I'm sure they would have kicked us off first, lol.
I would much rather travel by car so I can have my babies with me at all times. But it is over and I am SO glad!
