Mandie used to be just like that. She still has her moments but she has come a long way.
It will take a few tools:
Patience
The right brush and comb
Grooming spray
and TREATS! Lots and lots of treats!
Just do a little at a time and treat. You will need to go in short sessions - when the wiggle worm can't do it anymore, take a break and come back to it later. Talk really sweet and calm as you brush/comb and treat often. Remie will start associating the grooming with being loved on and treats
Now, what made a world of difference with Mandie was when I got the Madan pin brush and Madan mustache comb. I also got the Madan grooming spray (can't remember the exact name off the top of my head) - it is a fine misting spray. I think the smell actually calms Mandie. You can find all of these on
