Glad you were able to take him to the vet and get it checked out promptly. I read that dogs that poop outside, naturally empty their anal glands better than dogs that poop inside. You might want to encourage more outside pooping for taking him for a walk after dinner. Another option is adding a little fiber to the diet; we use a tablespoon of ground flax seed and a few green beans. Hope he feels better fast!
