I know it's hard on your and scary. Mandie is a wiggle worm. It took forever for me to figure out the best time to do things - that is when she is almost asleep (as mentioned above).
Definitely try warm water and some shampoo to work it out. If that doesn't work, get BLUNT nose scissors (wait til Bella is almost asleep) and trim the poo out. Also, use this time to trim up directly under the tail and all around the anus.
I also wanted to ask what you are feeding little 6 week old, Bella? You say that sometimes she looks like she is trying to poo but nothing comes out? Is she constipated? At 6 weeks, it's very important for their diet to be easy to eat and very nutritional. I would mention this problem to my vet - see if there is something you can change or add to help Bella "go" easier.
