Shade My Maxie Girl

I guess my story counts. We aopted our Maxie from someone who happened to be at a shelter when she was turned in. The lady we got her from kept her from November till the end of January when we got her. She got her up to date on all vaccines, tests, etc. She had two dachshunds and really couldn't handle a third. Maxie was very skittish when we first got her, especially around men. She did not want to walk anywhere but the concrete outside, but now is venturing into the yard. She has come a long, long way. Bear, our youngest male, has really brought her out of her shell. She plays with him all the time now. I still cannot get her to play with toys, though. She was a lifesaver for me, as I had just lost my baby girl Roxie, a few days before.
