Our little guys coats are SO beautiful, but, I'd rather see them comfortable and healthy, than what satisfaction seeing/touching that "silk".
Right now, my guys coats are long. But that's because it has been rather cool, and I wanted them to have that protection through the winter.
It's SO hot down here, and I take my guys out for a speedy trip along the Bayou each day (sometimes more than once a day).
Cockelburrs abound, they jump in the Bayou, play and tumble with each other (and me), and I would be up to my ears (theirs too) in Mats, IF I allowed their coats to become long.
I keep my guys coats quite short through the summer months. Their personal comfort is very important to me, and them as well.
