Greenies carry the VOHC seal and are therefore likely to help with teeth. Years ago, there was hype about them causing obstructions and many people stopped using them. Greenies changed the formula though. Personally, I don't use edible chews of any kind because I dont want the added calories, obstruction risks, choking risks, etc.
I opt to feed mine just fresh veggies as snacks. Once a day they get Fruitables (one cookie per dog) which are low calorie cookies. I like the company because a veterinary nutritionist founded it. My dogs really like them too.
