I think the formula for how long a puppy can hold his urine is her age plus 1 so if she's 4 mos., should be able to go 5 hours in a pinch. And that is if she isn't playing hard, drank extra water or has a lot of fluid in her meal or just got up from a nap, etc. But for housebreaking imprinting and early training, I would keep taking her out every two hours for the first 2 or 3 weeks of training and then try to extend it to two hours + 15 minutes for a couple of days and very, very slowly go up from there. If she pees in the house when you are extending, go back to the former schedule for another weeks. Don't hurry this - the time you put in now getting her outside frequently will help imprint the idea on her brain that you will be taking her out frequently so the incentive will be to start to hold it since she knows that soon after she feels that feeling in her bladder, outside seems to come up right after and waiting for the outside site, the praise and the treat is the thing to do over going inside and hearing the "uh oh" from mommie, being snatched up quickly and rushed outside.
