Default Just Lost my best Friend..

HI there, my 9 and a half year old yorkie, Wisdom, passed away last night in my wife's arms. She was diagnosed less than a year ago with LYMPHANGIECTASIA. We thought it was being managed (she was on predsone and Royal Canin dog food and vitamin) and was her normal self. We had to drain her stomach twice in last 2 months but she seemed to be doing great. Personality was normal, good bowel movements, active, barking at noises, appetite, etc... she had however lost weight over the last little while and was very bony and skinny. Vet told us she was palliative care. Has anyone else had experience with this?? From everything I read, this is usually manageable and yorkies can last 4 or more years with this disease? Was there something else going on our vet missed or is this typical? I know it won't bring her back but I can't have closure with these unanswered questions and the shock of losing her without really having to say goodbye. She just ran over to my wife's feet, collapsed and took a few breaths before passing away. It was horrible. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
