Hannah was so small when I got her that I leaned couch pillows on the floor so she could get up and down from my office couch. After almost 2 months I am down to one long pillow. At home last night she used a pillow that another dog pushed on the floor to access the couch. My bed is so high up that she's not on it w/o supervision but I may look for a large decorative pillow for her to use. I can always throw them on the couch or bed when Hannah is not using them.....
This has been working for us since the beginning.
