they are not that adjustable that is why they are offered in a lot of sizes. With that being said we like our's allot. They seem comfortable for Lola, easy to put and very safe.
Before buying any harness you should decide if you want to put it directly on the dog or over an outfit. If you want to put it over something like a heavy coat or sweater you will probably need a larger size. I prefer to put Lola's clothes over the harness so I bought it in black to blend in with her hair this way it does not stick out under her clothing. I also sew a horizontal button hole in outfits that don't come with a d ring opening.
