Okay, a couple of things - The way it is stitched up is not uncommon. I don't like that method, but it IS what the vet used on Mandie. Her's looked just like that EXCEPT the part that is a different color and shiny. That part concerns me. What did he say about that part? That is what we are all looking at and thinking it looks like something protruding. What I am concerned about is the coloring and texture of the skin (which I think it is skin, btw). It looks like it might not be getting the correct circulation to it. I dunno. He specifically looked at that part and said it was fine?

Second thing - I would definitely change vets if at all possible. I was not happy with the vet that did Mandie's spay so I changed. Her spay was fine, but I didn't like that type of stitching (by the way - months later and you can't even tell hardly, so don't worry about that). Don't stay with a vet you are not 100% trusting of or you'll never get sleep.

If that part that is discolored changes at all, I would find another vet even if you need to go to another town.
