Ya'll are probably gonna laugh at me but I have been watching various grooming threads and some have mentioned coconut oil. I am wanting to know if this is a product you apply to the coat or do you purchase an ingestible coconut oil/milk or something like that.

I purchased in the beauty supply aisle at Wally World, a topical coconut oil and used it on Princess Sophie's coat to help battle the fly away baby hair that tangles so badly! It worked like magic but now she's a greasy ball of fur! LOL When I brushed her out this morning, absolutely no tangles at all. Yes I did expect something like this to happen. Thing is... she can't have a bath right now cause of her ear infection (which is clearing up) so I don't know what to do. I can't take her anywhere looking like this! She looks like she has never had a bath. LOL
Have I purchased the right thing or am I way off base here? Also...if I have purchased the right thing, what do you do to get rid of the greasy coat? Am I missing something here or just too dumb to know what I should do?? LOL
