He will be evaluated by a rehab team tomorrow, speech pathologist, occupational therapist and another therapist that I can't remember.
The stroke was caused they think by a blood clot from his heart. His had cardiac arrhythmia ( I hope that is correct, we were given so much info today ) when we got to the hospital and they think that is what caused the clot.
He is like a two year old child right now and its so very sad. We appreciate all the prayers. Thanks so much for being such good friends and prayer warriors.
Thank God you took him to a real hospital where they could find a reason to keep him and then find the real problem!!!!! He is a very blessed man tonight to have you and to be where he is right now. I will be praying right along with all the others that they can treat his clot successfully and rehab him back to being very functional. Can't understand your MIL wanting to wait! Some people think acting like that is being stoic or brave or - I don't know what - but it can be life-threatening when a patient is even the slightest bit suspicious for stroke, for goodness sake. Here's hoping that this will teach her better.
