Finally, she told me her yorkies comes from her "Uncle Frank" from Ohio. So i suspect these yorkies come from puppy mills, which i definitely watch out for. Anyways, at the time of my convo with Kari, i added her on facebook, and saw that one of her former customer who had purchased one of her puppies was eating his own poop! Saw this posting on facebook. That was so disgusting to say the least. It means these dogs weren't fed properly with nutrition, anyways, the girl was stuck with the puppy. Not sure what happened after that as i have deleted and blocked her on facebook. I honestly did not want to associate myself wi someone pretending to be a breeder when they are clearly not. Besides, how is it possible to have puppies every other week and can not provide the sire and dam on her site?
I, on the other hand, breed yorkies, and i own both of my yorkies (male and female). I am a small hobby breeder. My line comes from Durrer canadian and Edgewood lines. You can google them and yes both dogs are akc registered but with limited registration. My female weighs 4.5 lbs and my male (durrer) is 3 lbs. she is currently pregnant and i am expecting litters soon. I have loved this breed since i was a small child, so for me to breed the best line is a dream come true. |
If I understand correctly, your breeder's have limited registration? When a breeder sells with limited registration it is because of one if these reasons:
1. They are not Show and/or Breeder Quality.
2. You purchased at a pet price, and not the price with Breeding rights.
3. You were trusted not to breed, and your puppies are not allowed to be registered with AKC. You own the dogs, but you don't own breeding rights with limited registration.
If this is true, this is very upsetting to me, and I'm sure upsetting to the Breeder you got yours from.
