Part One
Rubin had a routine dental Fri. He did great. I had a melt down. It is so easy to reassure and encourage fellow YTers, but, when it is one of my Yorkies, I feel fear, that no logic can sooth.
This story started a month ago. I got a cute post card from our Vet's office. Sitting at desk a cartoon elephant wearing large round glasses and holding a pencil wrote; Just a Reminder, Prince Rubin of Bartow it is time for your dental. Please call our office to make an appointment for your lab work soon ! Two weeks later phone rings. Labs are back, everything is great. Have Rubin here at 7:30 on March 22nd. I blurt but, hey that is my birthday. Do I want to do it tomorrow ? Oh No, the 22nd is fine, see you then. Ok you will call the day before, to remind me no food and water after 9 pm. I hang up my phone and write it on the calander. Like I would forget my birthday or Rubin's appointment.
