He will be fine while you are gone to work. He will need a place to go potty so you may need to use potty pads while at work if you don't already do so. I work about 7-8 hours 4 days per week and my girl stays in my kitchen with a potty pad available in the connecting laundry room. Some days she holds it but when she can't she uses the pads. I think she pretty much sleeps all day while I am gone because on the days I am around she follows me everywhere and by evening she is just worn out.
