My daughter just brought home an eight week old puppy and it's doing marvelously! Now, I'm not recommending this. I also believe that it protects the new owner, just as much as it does the puppy, to wait until at least 12 weeks, but the hubs knows the breeder so my daughter got a special pass.  I'll post a photo of her new baby if I can so you can see its coat!
