Lexie has been under many times, for dental, for spaying and for C-section all without incident. She's 5 lbs. The vet gives her a lot of IV fluids before sedation & that seems to help with keeping her vitals stable. Before doing that, her blood pressure would get kind of low.
Your little guy will be fine! I'd say don' worry, but I know you will. It's normal.
