 Kids...yikes!
Jo and Riley got to meet kids for the first time last night. My nephew, his wife and their 2 little boys, ages 1 and 2, came by for a visit yesterday. Their boys were great with my boys but my boys...well, not too bad but not as good as I had hoped for. By nature Jo is more stand offish so I thought he would stick pretty close to me...wrong! He loved the boys. By nature Riley is overly friendly and loves everyone so I thought he'd love the boys...wrong! He hid behind the couch for a pretty good portion of the night. How do you socialize them with kids? We aren't around kids very often but I don't want them to be afraid when we are. We've been in Petsmart and they were fine with kids that were probably 5 and up so maybe it's just the smaller ones that are on their level? Do I need to take them to a day care center or something??? |
