Hello everyone we currently have 3 adult yorkies and are thinking of getting another one, we have 1 male and two females. Though our oldest female Peaches was diagnosed with cancer that according to our vet was not treatable. It has been now almost 2 months and she still plays and eats though she has a terrible cough that is usually is very active first thing in the morning. Our male Omar (named after my husbands favorite baseball team famous short stop Omar Vizquel) He is very close to her and it worries us that he might become very sick if something happens to her as he is very dependent on her. Our other female we got from a breeder that was unable to breed her and she has some issues but we love her and have worked with her though lately she has taken over the pack and is trying to establish herself in charge lol.

Anyway my question is how do we add a puppy to the pack or should we, as our babies are 8 to 10 years of age and are not aggressive but can be possessive of my husband and I. Should we be looking to add another female or male? Our babies are all fixed and we are not looking to breed. We are not trying to replace our little girl Peaches but our little boy Omar may become very depressed and sick, so we thought if we got another puppy it may help in the future when the inevitable happens. Any suggestions would he appreciated thank you.
